Default what makes a high school different from university

i am not in university, in fact i am still in high school. i guess there are not many differences between these two, since you have to study hard to get success in both forms of institution. maybe university study is a bit harder, but it's also fun i guess. share your views here.

Lots of differences if you opt for a good enough university actually. High school would have a prescribed syllabus that you are supposed to read and take classes for the same. But once at the university, you will have to choose your own subjects. Also, the examination patterns are obviously quite different. And the courses are more in depth. Also, each course doesn't generally last for years together (like you read math throughout your schooling don't you )

And apart from academics, I think there are lots of other stuff to be learnt at the university - you get to see the real world, IMO

that was helpful. yh you are right high school usually have a limited amount of work, it's more like syllabus type. we are taught very generously what's going to be in the test, all we have to do is study that suggestion before that test. in university it's different i guess.

university is preparing to you to real world to find a job and be yourself, no one guide you in university, you choose your lesson and there is only 2 test (mid and lat test)

high school = lot of homework and almost everyday there is exam, because it's prepare you to go to university

2 big tests in one year is pretty tough, i would rather have more short tests in one year. imagine you accidently have a bad test out of those 2, you are doomed literally.

It is differents, a lot Univeristy life much more interesting too me than High School Life, Univeristy creates people to live independently while high school creates your personality, you are a free person in Univ. life, live free but responsible, much more interesting friends in Univ. life

Diferent is you must start study independently, just depend on lecture class is not enough!
Instead of homework everyday, you are given some project which take few days - few weeks to complete!

for me myself. the main difference is not in the way you study. It is how you you deal with friends. From my own experiences, in high school, you make your own society, choose your friends, and you are more of a social person. You might still have some restriction because of your age, but you will always be able to find so much fun in it.

In university you learned to be more individual. A friend in life could be a competitor in university. Trust me, in the university there are more intriquing cases, where everybody who are preparing to get a job is more cruel than the job itself. Backstabbing is made in a smoother way so you might only feel that there's something wrong without knowing what and why. Your friend steal your project, they close to the lecturer and get you with no chance to develop yourself. Your idea is hijacked by other people, I've been through it all, but the university is more alike the real world, and graduating from the university will make you stronger than before.

He he... the main different between the high school and university is us. I mean, in the high school we must go to class and listen to the teacher and if U didn't make a class then the principle will call U to his room, and further more U get U're parent came to school to talk about U're behavior.

but, in the university, U don't have to make a class, its a free choice, does U want it or not, also U can discuss the lecture with U professor where ever U want, not just in the class, when U make a problem, probably U're parent are the one whose gonna call U and make U discipline, right, not the university.

high school and university are both hard. but university is far more difficulty than high school. cause the subjects in college are really tougher and are really harder. but it is great in college cause you can choose the course you want to take.

there are lot of differences between university and high school:
firstly in high school you are treated like a child and the maximum punishments when you d would be being beaten with a bamboo stick..where as in college you are treated as a citizen and punishments will be mostly suspending from classes
secondly in school you are mind is very secure in the sense u do not think about yoyr career a lot..where as in university the planning and thinking about career..
