i'm not really sure, but i think the one who can success with low education level usually work in some trading (buy and selling). While in my work place, surely u can't be here if u don't have bachelor degree (coz it is the requirement from the company).
so for your question in the title: i think education level determines our career but for your second question (people don't need to attend high school to become successful), i think it's true since there are facts that show us some success people who only have low education level |

I certainly think it's easier to get into top jobs if you've been more educated, but I think that anyone who works hard enough can get to be whatever they want to be. Bill Gates didn't go to university, and I'm sure I've heard that Richard Branson is dyslexic, so education doesn't matter all of the time!

education is sertainly a factor in government jobs. you have to acomplish specific qualifications to become alligible for sertain government jobs. but if you want to work in privat sector or do a business, education is not a diterminent. your basic intelygence and smartness are more importent. education level is also not very importent in politics. there also your basic qualities matter more.

education level can certainly help you in your career but its not a guarantee. Its more of experience and luck. Good Experience + Good Luck = Good Career

Our education level for me only determine our career just about 50% but the rest is all about our self alone. Our skill with attitude, communication, and discipline with time. of course or relation with other could not be missed too... because, today no relation no jobs!

For me, it's depends on what job do you want to do later. if you choose to work in a large company or MNC, you're absolutely need high education level but if you want to make your own business, maybe buying/selling stuff, i think the most important is the skill of communication.

Yes, it's true... Sometime someone just gets his/her luck... I really agree with you, in Indonesia there are so many people even they dont have DIPLOMA FROM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL but they are millionaires right now... But in the reality, everybody needs diploma in order to work, right ??? Even being a security needs a diploma either from high school or university...
