A bird shooter was asked how many birds he had in the bag.he replied that there were all sparrows but six, all pigeons but six and all ducks but six .how many birds had he in all.

9 birds. He has 3 of each kind of bird.

when he says all sparrows but six, the six refer to 3 pigeons and 3 ducks.
when he says all pigeons but six, the six refer to 3 sparrows and 3 ducks.
when he says all ducks but six, they refer to 3 sparrows and 3 pigeons.

I think that guy don't know maths. Or maybe he don't really good in understanding and answering question. Honestly, I don't think the answer will be enough in numeric, must have explanation.
