As you might know, when we study music at school the school taught us musical notes. And surely a boring thing in my experience in your opinion how important studying musical notes is? why do you think so?

i think music in high school is quite fun to do, however there are many types of lesson. some lessons are boring, while some are fun. overall, i think music should be allowed as a subject in high school.

i'm learning guitar since i was 8 years old..until now, i'm not so good in musical notes..
it's not a big problem since i choose an electric guitar..however, i think musical notes is surely needed for every musician indeed..

I think school put it in their curriculum to give their students an introduction to music
i also got it in my junior highschool, and i don't like this subject, specially the musical notes part with all that signs, a quater notes, full notes, etc.
but it's kinda funny now since i'm learning to read it now so i can play my instrument better LOL

yeah jazz, as i said before that musical notes is must learned for all musician..well, i think we just too lazy to spend a little time to learn it more...

many friends of mine who have been practicing for years even most of them have practiced guitar or other musical instruments for more than 5 years yet unable to read musical notes. And their reason because they're guitarist. Do you think a guitarist no need to have a good understanding in musical notes?

yes, i'm a jazz lover, still learning to play it need lots of hard work to learn it, the chords , progression is really complicated
so what genre do u play?

knowing musical notes really helps when u want to become a good singer. it directs u on how to achieve the good pitch of the song

Actually when you are studying fingers position to have the right chord you are studying notes without knowing it so let's say that guitarist just use a different approach

I've always found interesting studying those kind of things because they made us playing the flute and it was nice to be able to "transform" text in music

It was also nice to discover that music was something with "rules" and not a chaotic bunch of sounds.

But since we had only a few hours and I studied only for 3 years where we were studying more composers lives than real music I didn't learn so much... it's another good example of how school can transform into something boring also the things you like

get good achievement in school it can be solution to get job in
music business with their skill

its good if u done music class at school, coz in my opinion music can make oue creativity growth up and relax factor to keep our mind calm when we do stressfull study at school..

important or not it depends on how you use the musical notes
for me as a classical singer then it's very important to learn and use musical notes, it gets you easier to learn new song especially when you're in a choir
for some of instrument player the musical notes is not too important as long they know the chord

musical notes is a must to be a perfect musiician or a singer.for a singer saregama is a must , i also learned that when i was young, used to sing and play tabla.
