One factor that make poor people cannot afford to go to the hospital and get cured is because of the high price of medicine, but nowadys generic medicine is introduced. So, medicines will often have more than one name:

• a generic name, which is the active ingredient of the medicine
• a brand name, which is the trade name the manufacturer gives to the medicine.

what i experience is when i used generic one its take longer time to cured, nut when i used branded one i cured faster.. dont know if its just my feeling or fact.

for me as long as we can afford just try to use branded one, i think its better and safer.

Some people also argues that the generic ones is less effective than the branded ones, because the indgredient of generic ones is more cheaper. I don't know sure about this fact. Is it true?

Well , I haven't tried out generic medicine but I think it comes down to trust . And anyone would much rather go for a branded medicine because you just can't be sure of how generic medicines will work..

Even though the chemical composition might be identical, there's still the skepticism about it being reliable or not..

I think under generic name only brands will come, suppose ranitidine is a generic name of histamine H2 receptor antagonist which is mainly used in duodenal ulcer, but its having various brands like aciloc, advene, consec etc.
