Default What computer language we should learn first?
As you might know everyone who is into computer science have to learn computer language. Based on your opinion what's computer language that we should learn first if we're into computer science? and why? let's discuss here

hm..maybe Pascal, Vb, Delphi? since it's high level language program which is the closest to our (human) language, so it can be learned more easily so we can get to understand the logic correctly first than if we learn about assembly or any other machine language program..that's what i think

Well start with the basics, HTML, then learn some some perl and maybe javascript, as most languages are somewhat similar, once you get the basic languages the harder ones will be easier to learn

At least that's what some tell me

well, surely the first computer language that anyone who new in computer programming should be high level language but the problem is there is so many high lever programming languages and you mentioned some above, so which one is the best to learn first in your opinion and why?

Maybe it's Pascall, since it's the first programming language i learn in university

yup, the C's syntax is more complicate than VB or Delphi, i think the writing order that makes it more complicate.

I think C is good for first timer

well, of course everyone who want to learn web programming should know web programming since we create any web page with HTML code and mixed with other languages like PHP for example. Why do you think C is good for anyone who knew in computer programming davewolf? does it because that's your first programming language that you've learnt?

Well C is considered to be the first language to be learned usually but I would recommend you to learn SQL because database management and development is the major crisis of the present as well as the future.

too much computer language available today with different purpose. We must first ask our self what specific job we want to get involved. If we want to be web designer than HTML/PHP/XML or related language is must to learn but if we want to coding software, you can choose Visual Basic, C or kind related.

I don't think it would be good for everyone, just in my faculty, we learn c language for basic programming.
Actually I learnt vb in highschool before c, so mabye vb is good too for first timer

the computer needs command from us fo doing something,...
